New York Private Detective Warns about Electronic Criminal Activities

NYC Private Investigators stated that with the use of electronic technology criminal activities are becoming widespread and common.  New York Private Detective handles a majority of criminal investigations, where background searches, database searches, history address searches are commenced to locate the criminal.  As we are all aware, criminals could break in to homes or establishments to steal valuables or access to personal information. To ensure security and protection of personal information here is some knowledge to be aware of. It is also advised to consider twice when using electronic devices.

GPS

While a family was outside watching a game, thieves had broken into their car and had stolen items.  Things that were stolen from the car were garage door remote control, money and a GPS. The thieves used the GPS system and tracked down the victim’s house and stole everything. The family returned to the house and found out its desolated condition.  New York Private Detective asks ever family not to let loose any electronic devices rather keep it secure to avoid such mishaps.

Mobile Phone (Scenario 1)

A lady’s purse was stolen which contained her cell phone, credit card, wallet etc.  In 20 minutes the lady had called her husband telling him of what just happened.  The husband informed her he received a text asking about a bank card pin number and he sent it a little while ago.

When they rushed to the bank they learned the money had already been withdrawn.  The thief used the cell phone to text “Hubby” in the contact list to get a hold of the bank card pin number. So, the NYC Private Investigators warn every individual not to save any number in the mobile devices with personal information. You should avoid naming your contacts or give out your personal information through texts messages.

Mobile Phone (Scenario 2)

Another scenario, if friends or family would like to meet you somewhere, be sure to call back and confirm that the message came from them.  If you don’t reach them, be careful going to places to meet ‘family and friends’ who text you.

Conclusion

Keep in mind do not reveal the relationship between you and the people in your contact list.  Avoid using names like home, honey, hubby, sweetheart, dad and mom.  Also, do not release sensitive information through texts.  Confirm by calling back.
